One Step Ahead
Young children who go to Little Sprouts Preschool get the tools and support they need for a healthy development. All activities are carefully designed to adequately nurture the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical growth of our students. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds.

OUR MISSION
Individualized Learning
At Little Sprouts Preschool, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and are able to connect learning through their interests. Our unique Preschool offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional, and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
FOCUS/DEVELOPMENT
Learning Through Play
Our lessons are designed to meet each child's needs through specific goals and objectives. We focus on building off of the strengths of each child, taking advantage of every teachable moment. Children learn through play! Experiencing hands on activities that help instill specific skills will make activities more meaningful and ultimately help the learning go beyond rote memorizing.

KINDERGARTEN READINESS
Letter sound recognition, beginning writing skills, and number sense will be taught along with learning to follow directions, take turns, self-care and responsibility. These important skills will help your child have a good start and more success in their elementary career.

MUSIC/MOVEMENT
Through daily singing, rhyming, and movement the children will be able to incorporate their lessons with catchy songs to help concrete their leaning.
This year we were able to add our music teacher to our three day program. Ms. Dawni, comes twice a month to share her love and knowledge of music! She is a seasoned preschool and music teacher and is a highlight of our program!

OUTDOOR PLAY
Daily outdoor play will help each child develop essential gross motor skills while learning cooperation, sharing, and self expression. No matter what your child needs, we will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.

DRAMATIC PLAY
Through imaginative role play the children will be able to learn cooperation, communicative skills, and learn about community. They will learn to communicate their feelings in a positive manner and learn to cooperate with others.

CIRCLE TIME & CENTERS
Children excel with routine so most of our days will have the same schedule. We begin with short transitional centers where the children will get to choose from the sensory, writing, dramatic play, or morning boxes that help review things we have learned. We will then have circle time which will include calendar, weather, days of the week, songs and movement, introductions of new learning concepts including the letter and number of the week, and review of old concepts. Our day continues with snack, outdoor play, and then finishing with learning centers that are catered activities to help teach important skills and concepts to prepare each child for kindergarten success. The children will have the opportunity to work on letter recognition, sound recognition, number sense daily, and a rotation of weekly art, science, social studies, and basic writing.
